Campus Computing Password
Information Systems notifies you by e-mail when it is time to change your campus computing password. The messages are sent from IS-Communications with “Wake Forest Password Service” in the subject line. Look for messages 9, 6, and 3 days prior to losing access to important computing resources! Read below for instruction on how to change your password.
Don't wait! Change your password every 90 days to prevent it from expiring.
eIRB and Titanium users: follow the protocol found on the bottom of this page.
To change your password: |
1. Make sure you are using your campus computer and logged into the campus network (DEACNET). Close all open programs. If you are changing a password from off-campus, or not using a Wake Forest ThinkPad, follow the steps at the bottom of this page. |
2. Press Ctrl. + Alt + Delete simultaneously |
3. Select "Change Password..." button |
4. Type your current password |
5. Select a new password and type it in the fields provided |
6. Your password is now synchronized! Please wait approximately one hour for the update to take place across all computing services. |
Note: if you have "remember my password" selected for any campus computing service, you will have to manually change the password for that service. For example, some users choose for Mozilla e-mail to automatically accept their password rather than typing it each time they log in. For instructions on manually changing your passwords click here. Have a mobile device that syncs with the ThinkPad? You'll need to change those password manually, too. |
