E-mail and Wake Forest Web Pages Unavailable 1/4
Information Systems staff will move the e-mail server and the campus Web server to the new network Tuesday, January 4 between 6 p.m. and midnight. While this work is in progress, access to the following computing resources will be unavailable:
1. e-mail (sending and receiving)
2. Wake Forest Web pages (including all sub pages of www.wfu.edu)
3. home directories (where your local Web page information is stored)
4. shared data on ACfiles
5. Usenet News (accessed through news.wfu.edu)
6. Interactive log-ons on AC (checking e-mail using Pine and Elm programs, updating Web pages through FTP, accessing SPSS, SAS, and Maple on the AC server, using interactive shell accounts to run or write programs)
E-mail messages to and from off-campus addresses will queue for delivery upon completion of this work. Please note that WIN will not be affected.To access the WIN login page during this time, type http://win.wfu.edu in your browser address field.
