Using the T60 ThinkPad with the HP 1350 Printer
The new T60 ThinkPad needs software installed before you can use it with the HP 1350 printer you received as a freshman. If you already installed the printer and are still having problems, follow these steps at the bottom of the page.
Follow the instructions below to install the HP 1350 software. For best results, use a high-speed Internet connection and Mozilla Internet browser.

DO NOT install the printer software CDs included in the printer box. Save the CDs for future use.

Plug in the HP 1350 and turn on the printer.

When prompted for the "hp_cd", click OK

In the "Copy files from:" box, type c:\hp1300, then click OK
- Installation continues automatically and finishes.
 Still having printing problems?
If you installed the software and are still experiencing problems printing from your T60 ThinkPad to the HP 1350, following the instructions below. Need help? Contact the Help Desk at xHELP (x4357).
- Go to Start>Settings>Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs.
- Scroll down to the entry HP PSC 4.7 (and 4.2, if found). Click Change/Remove.
- Follow the prompts to uninstall the HP PSC 4.7 driver(s).
- After the uninstall process is complete, follow the prompt to restart Windows.
- Download the new 1350 printer driver (Simply click on the text to download.) Save the file to the desktop.
- Double-click "drv_gc_w01ENU.exe." Click Next to begin installation.
- After the prompt to plug in the 1350, another prompt for the "hp_cd" will appear. Click OK.
- In the "Copy files from:" box, type c:\hp 1300, then click OK.
- Installation continues automatically, then finishes.
