Process Change for Using WIN to Send Bulk E-mail
New versions of commonly used Internet browsers found on the T60 ThinkPad, including Internet Explorer and Firefox, are unable to send e-mail to large groups of students (120 or more) using the “select all” feature in WIN. This issue becomes apparent when users attempt to e-mail all majors and/or minors in a particular department, or e-mail all students in all classes in one department.
A new link found on the departmental roster page in WIN resolves this issue. Follow the instructions below to e-mail a large group of students in your department. You can also view a video demo of the new process.
Remember: You can continue to e-mail small groups of students in WIN by individually selecting the student names.
